Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce and eWaste Recycling Solutions to Host Universal Waste Recycling Day
WATERVILLE, ME—The Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with eWaste Recycling Solutions, will be hosting a Universal Waste Recycling Day on June 5, 2009. As a major cost-saving strategy for area businesses, all are urged to drop off a variety of their unused electronics, batteries, florescent bulbs, ballasts, mercury-containing devices and other items for recycling. Let the Chamber pay for the truck roll, businesses only pay per piece! Remember, Maine law states that it is illegal to store old and unused computer equipment, TVs, ballasts, batteries, and other devices containing heavy metals for more than 1 year.
Come drop off your materials from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Eagle Rental off Armory Road in Waterville. Pre-registration is preferred, as there are small fees to recycle these items.
