Update for 06-27 & 06-28-09
Isolated showers and thunderstorms continue to be the story around here as the unsettled weather pattern continues to hang around. A slow moving area of low pressure is going to sink southeast though the evening and prolong the chance of showers though the early evening. Once the sun sets most of the showers should die off. Though most places will not get wet tonight, most everyone will have a cloudy sky. Tag teaming with the cloudy sky, there will be some areas of patchy fog, mainly along coastal sections, due to a flow of air from the east and southeast. Temperatures tonight will fall into the upper 50s to right round 60.
By tomorrow, the threat of showers and storms stick around, but our latest storm will shift just south of the Gulf of Maine, and then eventually crawl north by evening. Most of the day will feature and overcast sky with a couple of breaks in the cloud cover. Those areas, which receive some sun, will have a higher risk of showers and storms. Temperatures should range near normal, if not just under. 68 to 75 will be the range for tomorrow with the coolest readings closest to the coast.
Looking ahead into the weekend, unsettled weather will continue as yet another storm will close into our direction Monday night and into Tuesday. Good news is that temperatures next week should be on par with average, but its still going to be a bit muggy.
Tonight: Isolated T-showers early, then patchy fog develops. Winds: ESE 5-10 mph. Temps: 55-61.
Tomorrow: Early morning fog, then mostly cloudy with isolated storms. Winds: E 10-15 mph.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, a touch of humidity, afternoon showers. Temps: 66-73.
Tuesday: Most of the day should be dry, but there is still a threat of isolated showers. Temps: 68-75.
