GORHAM — Live online streaming video recorded a rare peregrine falcon laying an egg Friday at an undisclosed location.



Biologists from the Biodiversity Research Institute confirmed that the falcon dropped the egg at 1:30 p.m. The location was kept secret to avoid attracting visitors.

Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the dance will be from 8 p.m. to 12. The event is to take place at the American Legion in Fairfield.

That's the idea behind a fundraiser to support breast-cancer research under way in central Maine and the organizers are looking for some creative, artistic entries.
